Analysis of New iPhone 3G S

In case you are standing in line today at an Apple Store, I wanted to say a few things about the new iPhone 3G S.
1. I'd love to get the new iPhone 3G S, but I don't qualify for the discount until December 29, 2009. As an 'early adopter' of both previous models, I'm not feeling the love. I paid $599 for the first iPhone in June 2007 and $299 for the iPhone 3G in July 2008. Now I have to pay $499 for the iPhone 3G S unless I'm willing to wait 6 months. Grrr.

3. On Monday, June 22nd, my good friend and iPhone guru, Mark Booth, helped me do some benchmarking. We compared the performance of the iPhone 3G before and after then 3.0 software update.
