Cord Managment Part of my responsibilities at the BareFeats.com is ORGANIZATION. Whether traveling or working in the lab, Rob-ART and I want to have all of our computer accessories easy to maintain. We want an organized look to our chaos! With this in mind, I'm always on the lookout for products that help. I stumbled across a company in Singapore called Sumajin that created a cord manager for portable stereo earphones, iPod cords, USB wires and anything else that might have cords in the same size range.
SmartWrap
The Smartwrap is the smaller cord manager... lightweight and easy to install... I love it for my iPod headphones. This device allows me to make the iPod headphone cord the length I want it to be rather than having all the excess dangle. It also worked on my TV headphones.
Installation
Best to begin attachment of the Smartwrap closest to the earphone jack.
Snap your earphone cord through the fastener at one of two ends.
Wrap the excess cord around the Smartwrap to your desired length.
When you get to the length desired, snap the cord into the remaining slot.
So clean... so organized!
Cost: US $5 each
Size: 70mm L x 22mm W
Weight: Lightweight, Flexible
Colors: Colors of the rainbow
SyncWrap
SyncWrap is designed to manage thicker cords like USB cables or Apple's nice, white, thin but long, "tangley" 6 pin FireWire 400 cables. Not only are the slots larger, but the wrap area is larger to accommodate the extra cord lengths. It works perfectly with the USB and FireWire Sync cables that came with my new iPod. It now fits nicely and neatly in my Tumi travel bag.
Installation
Snap your larger cord through the fastener at one of two ends.
Wrap the excess cord around the Syncwrap to your desired length.
When you get to the length desire, simply snap the cord into the remaining slot.
So clean... so organized!
Cost: US $7 each
Size: 95mm L x 30mm W (enough space to accommodate 10 feet of telephone cord)
Weight: Lightweight and Flexible
Colors: Colors of the rainbow
