RX 6900 XT GPU versus other GPUs in the 2019 Mac Pro

We tested the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT against the three best 2019 Mac Pro GPUs.

WHAT DID WE LEARN?

The AMD RX 6900 XT is a lot faster than the previous best GPUs for the 2019 Mac Pro. (Note that the AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series requires Big Sur 11.4 or later when running on a Mac.)

Since the RX 6000 Series has three Display ports, you will want to use a display that has DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC. We tested using a Dell UP2715K display which has dual DisplayPorts to support 5K.

We chose the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6900 XT because it was 12.2 inches long. Versions longer than that will not fit in the 2019 Mac Pro.
