Geekbench 5 Pro Mac Results

September 6th, 2019 by rob-ART morgan, mad scientist

Geekbench 5 has significant changes to the CPU and GPU tests. We ran it on three of our Pro Desktop Macs.

Geekbench 5 Metal GPU test

Geekbench 5 OpenCL GPU test

WHAT DID WE LEARN?

The Geekbench 5 Single and Multi-Core CPU test no longer includes a memory speed component. The score is an average of 21 CPU intensive tests. You can't compare the score to Geekbench 4 results.

The Metal GPU Compute test has also changed. The score is now an average of 11 tests (up from 8). And, again, you can't compare the score to Geekbench 4 results.

The OpenCL GPU Compute test has also changed from 8 tests to 11.

You can test your Mac for free by downloading a trial version.
