2020 iMac 5K 8-core versus 2017 iMac Pro 5K 8-core

Can the 2020 iMac 5K 8-core keep up with the 2017 iMac Pro 5K 8-core? And what about the 10-core iMac?

WHAT DID WE LEARN?

The 2020 iMac 5K 8-core beat the 2017 iMac Pro 5K 8-core running the Cinebench Multi-Core CPU test.

In our initial Geekbench CPU posting, the 2020 iMac 5K 8-core with 32GB of RAM scored 7321. When we moved the second 16GB module to slot 3, the score jumped to 8924 -- which tells us that it triggered dual channel mode. So that result pushes it ahead of the 2017 iMac Pro 8-core.

The 8-core 2017 iMac Pro 5K 'won' all the GPU benchmarks compared to the 8-core 2020 iMac 5K.

UPDATE: As of August 28th, we added all the results for 10-core 2020 iMac 5K which, as you can see, beats both the 8-core 2020 iMac 5K and the 8-core 2017 iMac Pro. (Thanks go to Cantu and Gregg.)
